Though the claims sound fun to hear, most of the time we don’t get the whole thing, don’t we?
So read along for some clarifications regarding the claims.
Dura power technology optimizes the power consumption by lowering the friction on the blades, which reduces the load on the motor and the battery to ensure that your trimmer lasts comparatively longer than any ordinary trimmer.
2.Self-sharpening steel blades.
Though it sounds sci-fi, it is real. And this is how it works -The trimmer’s steel blades lightly brush against one another. Thus it sharps itself as and when it trims so it stays extra sharp and effective as on day one.
So we have cleared the confusing terms found in the “claims”.
Now let us analyse the most common issues, concerns and opinions of the common shaving man.
Most common reviews and their reasoning:
Review 1: “ It’s a bit noisy.”
I have used this product myself and found it a bit noisy too. But honestly, it isn’t irritating at all. Everybody knows that motors make noise, hence most trimmers do too. But if noise is an issue for you, I’d suggest you check out this trimmer here.
You can find out how to silence your trimmer here https://youtu.be/UfQsiQ7V22g.
Review 2: “How do I know that trimmer is fully charged ?”
Sorry, brother you just can’t. Not for this product. This trimmer comes only with a charging indicator and not a battery indicator. The company claims that this timmer can provide a long continuous shaving period of 45mins after a long charge of 10 hours. Though 45 mins seem short, think again 45 mins is just more than enough.
But as I read through the reviews, I understood that the trimmer usually gives a continuous shaving period of 30mins after an 8 hours charge.
Also in the reviews, a lot of men keep referring to the cheap Nova trimmer as an alternative for good battery life, you can check it here.
A SMALL TIP FROM MAN TO MAN: if you need a shave in the morning tomorrow, plug the trimmer up for charge tonight before sleep.
Review 3:” gets hot sometimes”
This review comes up rarely, but it is a matter for discussion. The motor also dissipates heat as it converts the electrical energy to usable trimming work. And since the blades are made up of stainless steel, it tends to conduct heat.
But no worry guys, it only gets hot gradually and is never trouble as it gets hot only towards the end of your shave.
Review 4:” worth the price.”
for the features that it provides and the 2-year long warranty, the quoted price seems very fair. No doubt.

Review 5:” bad packing.”
I know this a rather odd review but I could find this coming up often in both amazon.in and flipkart.com.
However, can’t blame Philips nor the e-commerce company entirely. But I would highly recommend you to open the package as soon as you get it from the delivery boy and post a complaint asap if a bad packaging is found.
- Good pricing
- Very handy
- a little bit noisy.
- No battery indicator.
